LEVEL FOUR LAUNCHES BRIDGE:TEST 2.10

New functionality driven by customer feedback

London, October 20 2008 - Level Four Software, a leading supplier of open standards-based ATM software, today officially introduced the latest version of its open standards-based ATM software solution, BRIDGE:test 2.10.  BRIDGE:test 2.10 consists of a new Regression Test Manager (RTM) engine designed to use a database repository for test data.  The enhanced version is more customer-driven than its predecessor thanks to extensive customer involvement in determining its functionality, enabling more effective utilisation of the system in line with the changing ATM application landscape.

Through its BRIDGE suite of ATM software products, Level Four offers financial institutions the ability to unlock the potential of the ATM and self-service channel.  Using open standards-based software, BRIDGE enables financial institutions to not only select alternative suppliers for their ATM and self service software, and also provides the ability to interact more easily with other bank systems and third parties. This approach allows banks to reduce costs and increase customer service levels through the provision of enhanced ATM functionality.

BRIDGE:test 2.10 includes a new database repository that provides improved reporting delivery capabilities and access to test information, as well as easier integration to enterprise wide test tools such as HP’s QualityCenterTM. As ATM test outsourcing is becoming even more common to help increase internal operational efficiencies in today’s economic environment, BRIDGE:test .2.10 gives financial institutions the ability to control test script management in one location and have execution completed in another location, supporting an outsourcing strategy with confidence.  ATM testing is one key area where the benefits of outsourcing are increasingly evident, due to the significant cost savings that are possible through a successful outsourcing strategy.  The enhanced suite of solutions also has a more visual workflow-based approach to the testing function.

The workflow within RTM now follows a mature process of preparing and verifying test cases before they are made available for regression testing.  The ATM testing workflow also allows for a greater reuse of tests and test sets, providing users with greater flexibility and even more precise testing control. Automated test cases now support two phases: “design” and “execution.”  This allows test designers to create and verify new tests independently of tests being executed. The system also includes a central repository for all images, providing a single location for images to be stored and referenced.  Because this saves a tremendous amount of disk space, the enhanced system has a much lighter overall footprint. In addition it makes test maintenance easier, reducing maintenance overhead when ATM content changes.

Level Four has also included an updated screen comparison engine in BRIDGE:test 2.10.  This provides users with the ability to compare screen images and automatically document screen transaction content.

“It is our goal to ensure that our software meets the demands of the market and our customers as the arena of self-service technology evolves,” said Ian Kerr, CEO of Level Four Software.  “As our customers’ system functionality needs evolve and they continue to move towards Windows and open standards plus functional enhancements such as intelligent deposit, they have constantly changing system requirements.  We want to ensure our system meets those requirements and will continue to build and upgrade the BRIDGE suite to match customer functionality requests and market demands.”
