LEVEL FOUR WINS BEST SOFTWARE PRODUCT AWARD
LONDON, 5 December 2007. Level Four Software, a leading supplier of open standards-based ATM software, today announced that its BRIDGE:test solution was named the Best Software Product at the fifth-annual Scottish Software Awards Ceremony run by Targeting Innovation. It is the third time that Level Four has won a Scottish Software Award, highlighting how the company’s customer-led approach to product development has fuelled its international growth.
BRIDGE:test addresses banks’ need to automate laborious and costly manual testing of ATM software by providing a software simulation of a real ATM to recreate customer interactions. Developed with major banks in the UK, Netherlands and Canada, the software delivers at least an 80 per cent cost and time saving for financial institutions that were previously using manual testing of ATM transactions. This testing is vital to maximise uptime of the ATM network, and ensure that customer experience is not compromised. As the ATM industry moves towards open standards, banks are also looking to deploy a multi-vendor strategy in order to bring to market more services to customers at their ATM terminals, which further impacts the testing burden.
Level Four has achieved significant international success since the launch of BRIDGE:test, highlighting its applicability to the worldwide ATM marketplace. Recent customer wins include some of the largest banks in the US, Canada, UK and Europe, making BRIDGE:test the accepted market leader throughout the world.
George Boag, Chief Executive at Targeting Innovation, said: “Level Four’s BRIDGE:test was chosen as the winner of the best software product award because the solution showed evidence of a high level of innovation as well as demonstrable commercial success. With its product development centre in Dunfermline responsible for developing the core product software, Level Four is a great example of a Scottish software company that puts the Scottish technology industry on the worldwide map. This goes a long way to explaining why this is the third time that Level Four has been recognised with a Scottish Software Award.”
Ian Kerr, CEO of Level Four Software, said: “We believe that the widespread market acceptance of a software product is the ultimate definition of innovation and success. With our solutions, we work closely with leading global banks during product development and also post-deployment so that the technology is always relevant to their changing needs. Winning a Scottish Software Award in recognition of our hard work and high quality solutions is a real boost for our employees around the world, but especially so for those in Scotland.”
In 2005, Level Four won the best product/service category in the Scottish Software Awards for its XFS extension to the ATM Channel Development Suite, and was the first runner up for best software product company in the Scottish Software Awards 2003.
