NATIONAL BANK OF DUBAI UPGRADES TO LEVEL FOUR'S BRIDGE:TEST
Dubai, 30th October 2007 – Level Four, a leading supplier of open standards-based ATM software, today announced that the National Bank of Dubai (NBD), has upgraded to Level Four’s ATM testing solution, BRIDGE:test, to support the bank’s multi-vendor ATM software application. With BRIDGE:test, NBD will benefit from being able to conduct independent, automated testing of its open standards ATM software to improve the reliability and stability of the network and maximise the ATM as a revenue-generating banking channel.
The migration to Windows has hailed the advent of open standards, which enables banks to embrace multi-vendor strategies for their ATM networks. NBD’s network of NCR and Diebold ATMs presented the bank with new requirements for vendor independent testing. The bank wanted to minimise ATM downtime and fully embrace the opportunities open standards present to introduce innovative Windows-based ATM content and advanced functionality across its network.
With the upgrade from Level Four’s original flagship testing solution, ATM Developer, to the recently launched BRIDGE: test, NBD will benefit from truly independent testing of its multi-vendor ATM network and the ability to deploy a single software application across its NCR and Diebold ATMs. Additionally, faced with the high frequency of security patches for the Windows operating system, the bank will also benefit from BRIDGE: test for faster testing cycles of its ATM network, which will ensure ATM uptime and greater customer satisfaction at the ATM.
Sue Evans, Chief Information Officer at National Bank of Dubai, said: The upgrade to BRIDGE: test comes in line with our multi-vendor ATM network strategy. We expect to benefit from cost savings and productivity gains throughout our network while ensuring the highest possible level of customer service at our ATM terminals”
Issa Keshek, Regional Director of Level Four Middle East, said: “National Bank of Dubai is at the forefront of open standards adoption in the Middle East, and with our recently launched BRIDGE family of open standards-based ATM solutions, we feel that the bank and Level Four share the same vision. We anticipate that other Middle East banks will follow National Bank of Dubai’s footsteps to embrace open standards and will look to BRIDGE:test as the proven solution to fulfill their end-to-end ATM testing needs.”
NBD has been using Level Four’s ATM testing and development solutions since 2005 and in October 2006, announced the selection of Level Four’s Bunch Note Acceptance (BNA) and Cheque Processing Modules (CPM) to improve the self-service facilities it offers at its ATM terminals.
Level Four Software will be present at the first ATMIA conference in the Middle East, taking place on the 3rd & 4th December this year in Dubai. To organise a briefing with Level Four at the show, please contact Nicola Truman on +44 (0) 207 608 4673 or levelfour@hotwirepr.com
