LEVEL FOUR WINS EPCA/ECR SILVER AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN PAYMENTS

London, 08 May 2006 - Level Four, the leading provider of open standards-based ATM testing and development software, has won the silver EPCA/ECR award for ‘Most innovative and advanced payments software/hardware product launched in 2005.’

At the ceremony, held in Amsterdam last month, Jen Lindboe-Larsen, Chairman of the European Payments Consulting Association presented the silver award to Level Four for its ATM TrueTest product – a unique and groundbreaking solution that addresses the testing needs of the global ATM and self-service market as it shifts towards open standards.

With the current migration towards open software standards in the ATM channel, banks are looking to capitalise on essential technology investments by offering more sophisticated self-service capabilities. Level Four introduced ATM TrueTest to its flagship ATM Channel Development Suite in response to this. ATM TrueTest is the world’s first software to automate testing of new Windows-based ATM applications. Leading international banks already implementing the solution have experienced its benefits in terms of reduced human intervention, minimised potential errors during deployment and improved control and flexibility – enabling them to deliver a more dynamic service to their customers.

This announcement comes in a period of rapid growth for Level Four, who received an injection of venture capital nine months ago from Quester Capital Management. Since then, the company has focused on launching its new ATM TrueTest product as part of the company’s wider expansion plan to capitalise on the opportunities created by the emergence of open standards in the ATM and self-service arena.

According to Martin Macmillan, CEO at Level Four Software, “A customer-driven approach to product development has laid the foundations of our success. In the banking industry, introducing new customer services is an integral part of business strategy. Prior to new services being deployed at the ATM, thorough testing is imperative because banks cannot afford to rely on customers to test their systems. We endeavour to support all banks’ ATM testing needs and are delighted that Jen Lindboe-Larsen and those at the EPCA and ECR who voted for us, have acknowledged our commitment to the industry with this award.”
