LEVEL FOUR BUILDS 21ST CENTURY SOFTWARE FACTORY WITH APPOINTMENT OF ATM EXPERT TERRY DE LA MOTHE

London, 4 April 2006 - Level Four Software, the leading provider of open standards-based ATM testing and development software, today announced the appointment of Terry de la Mothe as product manager. Working with product director Jim Tomaney, de la Mothe will develop the company’s capability as a 21st century product development software factory, taking responsibility for the overall functionality and release cycle of new products.

De la Mothe has more than 20 years experience of the EFT and card processing industry and has spent many years managing technical projects in the ATM channel. Most recently, de la Mothe worked for testing software vendor Ascert Ltd, within their on-site services team at VISA International, where he was responsible for supporting the system testing of the new VISA VDPS Authorisation platform. Prior to this, de la Mothe worked for Lloyds TSB for over seven years, acting as technical manager for a number of ATM Gateway projects, including the EMV Chip and PIN Smartcard implementation, Triple-DES migration for external interfaces and On-line Fraud Reduction. This role came after 10 years with ACI Worldwide, working on BASE24 implementations.

“In his new position, Terry will orchestrate the successful launch of new ATM testing and development products, liaising with both our existing and prospective customers, as well as with our internal sales and marketing, R&D and product development teams,” said Martin Macmillan, CEO of Level Four Software. “Terry’s extensive experience working with ATM software suppliers and also as an end user within financial service organisations means that he has an unparalleled comprehension of the technical challenges faced by our customers, bringing invaluable insight to this role.”

This announcement comes in a period of rapid growth for Level Four, which received £2 million of venture capital six months ago from Quester, and is consequently accelerating its development activities and global expansion plans. De la Mothe’s appointment is the latest in a string of senior new hires for Level Four.

Macmillan continued “Level Four is currently in an exciting phase of development. By placing individuals of Terry’s calibre at the helm of our new product drive, Level Four demonstrates its ongoing commitment to driving excellence in the ATM market.”
