MOSAIC SOFTWARE AND LEVEL FOUR JOIN FORCES FOR RAPID DEPLOYMENT OF ENHANCED ATM SERVICES.

Banks and ATM network providers to benefit from combined technology strength and ATM application experience

London, 8 August 2005 – Mosaic Software, an S1 company and global provider of payment processing software, and Level Four Software, a leading provider of ATM and POS test and development software have entered into a co-marketing agreement. As market leaders in their individual fields, Mosaic Software and Level Four are keen to leverage the strength and compatibility of their respective technologies. Both companies will work together to deliver and test best-of-breed applications at the ATM, enabling banks to bring new services and functionality to market more quickly and cost-effectively.

“We are witnessing a burgeoning customer demand for enhanced transaction services at the ATM. With internet and mobile technologies making multi-channel banking a readily available option today, consumers expect more from the ATM channel. Basic services, such as cash withdrawal and balance enquiry, are no longer enough – wire transfers, cheque cashing, and bill payment are what consumers are demanding at the ATM today,” said Andrew Marshman, strategic alliance manager EME at Mosaic Software.

Martin Macmillan, CEO at Level Four Software, said: “Our customers speak the same language and face the same issues – EMV migration and the introduction of open standards, for example – so it made sense for Level Four and Mosaic Software to join forces, bringing the benefit of our combined expertise to our customers. Building on the success of recent deployments with our mutual customers, we look forward to extending our partnership with this agreement and together supporting improved ATM services.”

Mosaic Software’s electronic payments management product, S1 Postilion, is used in over 50 countries by leading banks and ATM network providers to drive estates of up to 38,000 ATMs, fulfil and leverage EMV compliance commitments, and roll-out advanced ATM services. S1 Postilion customers include some of the largest ATM processors on the North American continent. In the USA, S1 Postilion is used to drive 1 in 7 ATMs. It is highly flexible due to its modular structure, and delivers the functionality required by ATM processors as standard, while at the same time readily supporting a rapidly changing business environment.

“The S1 Postilion product is already enabling banks and ATM network providers to increase revenues and consumer loyalty through specialised CRM-enabled ATM services. Assisted by Level Four’s best-of-breed ATM testing capability – with new service testing and ‘new’ technologies like EMV, Pre-Authorised Debit, and Triple DES – we will help our customers achieve a quicker, more confident deployment of new ATM services. This provides them with real advantage in an increasingly competitive and complex market,” said Mosaic Software’s Andrew Marshman.

Level Four’s ATM Channel Development Suite is a comprehensive suite of integrated modules that enable rapid development of new ATM applications and full end-to-end testing of ATM networks. The automated testing and development tools can simulate complex ATM environments, which makes them highly suitable to address EMV and Triple-DES compliance, as well as simpler updates to ATM content and configuration images. Level Four’s software is based on open standards and is technology-agnostic.
