LAVEL FOUR STRENGTHENS EMEA SALES TEAM WITH THE NEW APPOINTMENT

London, UK, 16 February 2004 - Level Four Software, the leading provider of ATM test and development software, today announced that Steve Porter is joining the company as EMEA sales manager. Steve joins the rapidly expanding team to assist in growing the customer base across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He brings a wealth of business development and managerial experience applied at an operational and strategic level. This appointment further illustrates Level Four's continued success and aggressive growth plans in EMEA and beyond.

Steve has over 15 years experience in financial services working for a range of companies including a point of sale (PoS) solutions provider, a switch vendor and a network provider for transaction-oriented applications. Most recently, Steve worked for PayPoint Retail Solutions, providers of retail 'over the counter' payments. At PayPoint Steve's position was ATM business manager. He was instrumental in setting up the infrastructure and processes for PayPoint's 'convenience' ATMs roll out to retail outlets throughout the UK.

Steve Porter says, "The ATM environment continues to develop at great speed. The addition of new security such as Triple DES; upgrading of underlying platforms from IBM OS/2 to Windows, EMV chip card support and adding new self-service functionality - are just some of the changes facing the industry. I believe that Level Four provides a comprehensive toolset that clearly meets the demands of ATM operations managers that are expected to manage multiple changes to a previously static and stable environment."

Steve continues, "Level Four has ambitious expansion plans in Europe, Middle East and Africa, which I am excited to be a part of. The company is also looking beyond EMEA - the United Stated and Canada are firmly within its sights, plus strong interest from the Asia Pacific region. I look forward to being part of their continued growth."

Formerly, Steve worked for Transaction Networks Services (TNS) UK Ltd, a network provider for transaction-orientated data, as IT director and then managing director for processing services. Prior to this role, Steve worked as a European account director at Mosaic Software, EFT software provider, and as general manager at Nexus Payment Systems, a PoS and ATM processor.

Martin Macmillan, CEO, Level Four Software comments, "The coming year will be a time of continued growth for Level Four, with new products to be launched and new countries to explore. It is vital to us that our customers continue to receive the expertise they have come to expect and continue turning to us for advice on industry initiatives and technical problems. Investing in our workforce is key to this strategy. Steve will further add to the knowledge and experience of the sales team as we aggressively grow our customer base."

Level Four's primary software technology is the ATM Channel Development Suite - a comprehensive toolkit that allows financial institutions to develop, test and rapidly deploy new content and applications within their ATM delivery channels.
