LEVEL FOUR EXTENDS GLOBAL OUTREACH WITH FIRST CUSTOMET IN HUNGARY

OTP Bank selects Level Four's software to enhance ATM network and accelerate preparations for EMV

London, Nov 24th 2003 - Level Four Software, the leading provider of ATM test and development software today announced its first customer win in Hungary. OTP Bank, the largest retail bank in the country, has licensed ATM Simulator, ATM Developer and EMV FastTrack, three key components within Level Four's ATM toolset. The software will enhance the bank's ATM testing and development programme and assist the rapid deployment of EMV capabilities across its network of over 1,100 ATMs.

Using Level Four's software, OTP Bank will be able to upgrade content across its ATM network from a desktop PC environment, and fully automate ATM transaction testing. This will create significant cost savings for the bank by reducing the time currently spent manually testing transactions at individual ATMs. It will also improve the time to market of adding new ATM functionality, ensuring OTP Bank continues to deliver enhanced services to its domestic customers.

OTP Bank has also deployed Level Four's EMV FastTrack to assist its existing EMV migration project. All banks in EMEA have just over 12 months to prepare their banking systems for this mandated change. OTP Bank required assistance to accelerate its existing ATM migration project to meet the compliance deadline of January 2005.

EMV FastTrack is a set of sophisticated tools that enable the creation of EMV compatible ATM downloads and full end-to-end transaction testing directly from the chip card, through the ATM and up to the bank's BASE24 host system. Working in conjunction with ATM Simulator it allows OTP Bank to automate the regression testing of all ATM transactions. This creates huge time and cost efficiencies and removes the risks associated with human error in the introduction of EMV technology.

György Sebestyén, Development Manager for OTP Bank, comments, "We believe in continually improving the quality of services and our ATM network is a key part of our customer service channel. Our impending EU status and the positive impact we hope this will have on our economy is also a major driver for our investment. Working with Level Four has enabled us to understand the potential we already have within our ATM network and the scope we have for making significant improvements without making any investment in new ATM hardware."

Martin Macmillan, CEO, Level Four comments, "OTP Bank is at the forefront of new initiatives in the Hungarian retail banking industry and we are delighted to support their business requirements within their ATM channel offering. With the largest network of ATMs in Hungary it is critical that they can upgrade their networks to support changing industry initiatives. Our solutions enable OTP Bank to deploy and test new ATM functionality faster and more efficiently without reliance on ATM hardware providers or switch software suppliers."

Level Four's primary software technology is the ATM Channel Development Suite - a comprehensive toolkit that allows financial institutions to develop, test and rapidly deploy new content and applications within their ATM delivery channels. It includes ATM Simulator, ATM Developer and the EMV FastTrack and 3DES FastTrack plug-ins. 3DES FastTrack is designed to help banks prepare their ATM networks for compliance with the Triple-DES security standard, and supports remote key management functions and Encrypted PIN Pad (EPP) devices.
