LEVEL FOUR SOFTWARE JOINS DIEBOLD PIX PARTNER PROGRAMME
Diebold Welcomes Level Four to its Worldwide Partner Network of Technology Companies
London, UK, 16 December 2002 – Level Four Software, a leading provider of ATM test and development software, today announced it has joined the Diebold Partner Information Xchange (PIX) programme, to share technical expertise with Diebold on the latest market developments. Level Four brings to the programme its expertise in test and development tools for the ATM channel, particularly in preparation for EMV compliance.
Diebold is a global provider of self-service delivery systems and solutions. The Diebold PIX programme provides a variety of opportunities for its members by leveraging a combined pool of industry knowledge, technical expertise and mutual commitment to delivering the highest quality solutions. Level Four now supports Diebold hardware and software platforms within its ATM Channel Development Suite, allowing Diebold customers to benefit from this advanced development and testing toolkit.
“Level Four’s knowledge of testing and upgrading ATM environments in preparation for EMV compliance is a valuable addition to our PIX programme,” said Barry Harrison, VP Diebold EMEA Services, Diebold. “We believe they will play an important role in the education of customers about the problems associated with the introduction of EMV smart cards, and provide a proven solution to assist in EMV migration projects.”
Through this programme, Diebold is providing Level Four with ATM hardware to install in its EMV Migration Workshop. This will enable Level Four to migrate customer systems to EMV and test all aspects of their ATM application, both on the customer’s site and at Level Four’s head office in Scotland.
By partnering with Diebold, a significant global market leader in ATM systems, Level Four will further strengthen its market presence. The partnership will compliment existing switch partnerships Level Four currently maintains, including ACI Worldwide and Alaric systems, reinforcing Level Four’s position as a vendor of independent testing and development software.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work with Diebold through its PIX programme,” says Martin Macmillan, CEO, Level Four. “We believe our involvement as a new member will provide joint benefits to Diebold and Level Four, and ultimately to our mutual customers.”
The primary function of PIX is to support the technical needs of industry partners. Additionally, it provides equipment, software and documentation for development and certification efforts. PIX seeks to improve communication between Diebold and other financial industry providers to ensure easier implementation of new products, and to create better solutions for customers.
Level Four’s primary software technology is the ATM Channel Development Suite - a comprehensive toolkit that allows financial institutions to develop, test and rapidly deploy new content and applications within their ATM delivery channels. It includes TM Simulator, ATM Developer and EMV FastTrack plug-ins, allowing the rapid introduction of EMV compliance. The ATM Channel Development Suite also enables financial institutions to offer relevant, personalised and interactive functionality to customers through their existing ATM networks.
