Level Four's ATM Developer provides easy-to-use tools for banks that are upgrading their ATM networks to comply with the EMV smart card standard.

The increased intelligence and complexity of new EMV smart cards will reduce the rising levels of plastic card fraud across countries where it is deployed, and allow for multiple applications to be stored on one card. This will have a huge impact on the whole payment transaction cycle. ATM hardware and software, plus host switch networks will need to be upgraded to accept EMV smart cards and deal with the myriad of possible transactions.

The number of technological changes impacting the transaction chain combined with the increased variety of possible transactions means a degree of automated testing is necessary to ensure complete confidence in the ATM channel.

ATM Developer enables smart card testing directly from a desktop PC. Banks can develop, simulate and test smart card-based transactions as they would appear on a real ATM.

ATM Developer enables the creation of EMV-compatible configuration files and full end-to-end transaction testing directly from the smart card, through the ATM and up to the host system.

ATM Developer enables you to capture 'soft' card images and perform all testing and development in a plastic-less environment. This is particularly useful in running automated regression tests of card-based transactions.
